Guys,
I was recently given a very sentimental gift from a foreign solider I was training with. He is a true warrior in every since of the word. Afterwards I noticed that he had an okay EDC he was using and he admittedly knows little about knives. My unit is going to go in together and buy him a good EDC so I have a question. Does anyone know of or have any warrior poems or verses that deal with the blade. My plan is to give it to him along with a small plaque with a saying on it. I know it sounds corny but he would think the world of it. HELP!

"When you are wounded and left on Afghanistan's plains,
And the women come out to cut up the remains,
Just roll to your rifle, and blow out your brains,
And go to your Gawd like a soldier" -- R. Kipling

Probably not what you had in mind, though,

I'm not a poem guy, so I'm lost there. Maybe a nice copy of Sun Tzu's The Art of War? Have the guys in your unit sign the front/back flaps. It's a classic plus it's small, he can carry it with him.
