Gift idea - looking for suggestions!

Well first, I posted this in some other forums too to try to get as many ideas as possible. Heyo head-fi'ers

A female friend of mine has a birthday approaching and while I already have some gift ideas in mind, a revelation came to me today. I know I'm on to something here, but can't seem to finish the idea. Let's see how you guys do :thumbup:

The deal is: She's ALWAYS losing or fumbling around for her ID card. It's used for everything from bus rides to food so this is a SERIOUS issue. I think it'd be a great little present to give her something to help her keep track of her ID card. What do you guys think? She's one of those types that lugs around a massive purse full of stuff and carries her keys on a lanyard. A lanyard card holder is the obvious choice but I'd rather go with something more original and something that doesn't require additional fumbling to liberate the ID card.

All suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I would try to find a retractable keychain that loops around a belt tho. She could loop it around her purse strap and have the keys just inside the purse.

I thought about and liked the retractable keychain tied to purse idea but our ID cards do not have holes for clips or ties. They're also very slick and so would not work well with most alligator clips. Other than that, the idea is solid. Details details

If you don't want to punch a hole in it you put in a clear plastic holder like this. It'll probably come with the retractable chain but you can buy it separately if necessary.
