Gift Knife Suggestions for my Dad

I am looking for suggestions for a folder to be a gift for my dad. He likes different stuff than I do. I am more into interesting steels and ergonomics. He likes more classic design, lots of bling. He got himself a knife from an ad that had lots of shiny brass and something or other engraved on the blade and some shiny wood for the handle and was very disapointed that it did not have a lock and although he loved the bling he won't carry it as he really wanted a lockback for the safety factor.

So I guess to define the need, lockback, "Presentation" level of bling, blade steel really irrelevant (if it gets dull opening mail or whatever minor use he has for It I will sharpen it for him), I was also thinking it might be fun to have something engraved on either the knife or on the case it might come in "To Dad ......" So looking both for suggestions as to a knife but also a shop that can do some sort of presentation box or stamping/engraving on the blade or whatever to personalize the gift.

TIA for everybody's help on this.

Price range goal under $100

Its over your budget but the sage 4 seems like the perfect mix of what your dad like and what you like in a knife, barring that you can find Moki knives within your price range.

Something from GEC or Canal Street? The term you are looking for to describe the knife your dad likes is .... Traditional.

Definitely the Kershaw 1993-2. Got one for my Dad for Fathers day and he loved it. Very classy looking knife

buck 110 or kershaw 1993, of he's gonna carry it by just dropping it his pocket, then kershaw, if he's gonna go for the belt sheath, go for the 110

Benchmade 480 shoki sounds perfect to me. Modern yet still classic with the option of wooden scales or carbon fiber. It's a bit over your budget but I think it would be a home run. If you really want to stick to a traditional lockback gec and case are probably the way to go.

Lots of great suggestions thanks so much. Found a Kershaw VG-10 folder on closeout for $51 including free shipping so went for that one. I think Dad's really going to like it!.
