Gifted knives you never wanted. A suggestion and a question.

Since 2003 and my travels to SWA, I've been gifted a few knives. Some new. Some Used. Didn't ask for them. Didn't want them. Had to graciously accept them. Didn't use them. The two at bottom were lightly used when I received them. I also have an OIF Ka-Ba in the original package I can't seem to find, and another used Benchmade not pictured. I'd like to pass/gift them on, but am paranoid about doing so as I'm unsure of the various laws. I know what I can do intrastate, but have not enough close friends here who can have them who would even be interested in them.

I suggest no one gift another any knife unless he truly knows what the other wants or uses.

I ask, how can I go about passing (not selling) these down the line regarding various laws across the several states? Otherwise they're just getting packed back into the box I pulled them from and into the closet they sleep in.

Oh, you poor thing. I feel so bad for you getting a bunch of free Benchmade autos.:D

I'll be more than happy to take them off your hands and I'm quite legal to own them.:D

When my wife and I were dating, she told her mother I liked knives so for every Christmas and birthday, she'd get me some giant Pakistani fantasy blade shaped like a dragon or some shit.

I 've carried traditionals my entire life. Never really needed/wanted anything else. Gonna call a fairly local "tactical" store later today.

A family member gave me a Smith&Wesson HRT fixed blade. Now, I like fixed blade wharncliffs, but this thing doesn't suit me at all. It's not a safe queen, it's a bottom of the junk drawer queen.

Nothing but trade or gift material. I 've carried traditionals my entire life. Never really needed/wanted anything else. Gonna call a fairly local "tactical" store later today.

I'm in the opposite boat. I only use modern knives and every time someone gifts me a knife it's invariably some sort of bone handled slip joint to throw in a drawer with all the others.

I'm in the same boat, if someone gave me any one of those knives the OP is complaining about I'd be ecstatic, the only knives I've received as gifts are crappy, no-name traditionals, I did receive one Case MOP stockman and it sat NIB for years till I decided to start whittling some and got it out for that. Now I make chains and caged balls as gifts for others so I get my use out of it. I only dream of receiving a NIP spyderco or BM (auto or non), even my wife doesn't get me stuff on that level (she gets me nice/expensive things, guns/gun parts and other toys but never a knife).
