Is gifting a Survive! knife too extravagant a gesture?

What say you?

I have to ask, who, and why.

A stranger on the street because they held a door open for you, extravagant.

Your co-worker that saved your life in a terrible accident and broke his knife in the process, perfect!

Absolutely not!
I'll PM you my shipping address shortly :D

Why would you think that ????
If it's a knife person, they'll know the significance of the gesture. If it's not a knife person, the gesture is futile.

OK - the knife is going to a former partner from my gun fighter days on the streets of Los Angeles. The recipient is a knife person.

He will probably be very pleased with such a gift. Nice of you.

A very nice gift indeed! Especially if the dude is a knife dude

Man I'm glad you got out of that hell hole alive. I used to do a lot of construction work down there and it was crazy to see how violent people can get in a cramped city.
Giving your old partner one of these knives will be awesome!

Gun fighter in the streets of LA... the best job one could want in law enforcement - being a Los Angeles Policeman:D

However, being a retired LA cop is great!

Im going to go out on a limb and say he was the Police in LA.

The gift reciever is his former partner.

Being on the receiving end of a gift like that if you are a knife person is pretty high up there. Happened to me and that 5.1 is one I will never part with.

One of my friends takes myself and my kids fishing and ATVing. He also brings me fish all of the time. One day we were hanging out and I brought a 4.1 and BRK Gunny Hunter. I let him choose which one he wanted. He took the Gunny because he liked the Desert Ironwood handles. Still loves that knife and uses it for everything.

I've given a few out to close friends who appreciate a great knife.
