So a very good friend of mine is leaving the farm we work at in a couple weeks and moving on. When I got my first skyline I gave him the cheap knife I used to carry that I was replacing as somehow he never had one lol. So now that we are down the road a ways I saw that cheap knife the other day and it is on it's last legs hahaha. I know he likes smaller blades that are easy to carry and wanted to get him a better one as a going away gift to use wherever he ends up working next. At the same time he isn't a knife guy and I know the knife isn't going to be treated the best so I didn't want to spend a lot on it. So where do you go for serious quality at an affordable price? Kershaw of course, after a lot of thought I ordered him a sandvick zing. In light of this I thought it would be fun for those who have this knife to share their experience with it.

One of the kershaws I've owned the longest, got it in 09 I think, was my 3rd kershaw. I get compliments from non knife guys all the time wanting to see it or handle it, because they never seen anything like the striations before. I love the size and edc'd it exclusively for a year back when I got it. Just have to remember to keep it somewhat clean and oiled.

Good choice Brent, my orange Zing is my favorite Kershaw. I have small hands so I am good with the size for gripping and the smaller in the pocket the better IMO.

Nice gesture!

The Zing makes a great gift and also one of my favorites. Fun to flip and just looks different from whats out there, especially that blade.
