I got a BIG package from the postoffice, they were wrapped up in lots of newspaper, opened it up quickly, then I opened one of the small boxes inside, got the Jag in my hand, DAMN IT'S HEAVY!! And bulky !!

IMMEDIATELY I did a horiz basic opening, and then I remembered that it was not a manila style latch, and now there's blood everywhere!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! 8-)

Bummer dude did it come with band aids? i know what you mean about the size and weight. I got my first Jag last night in the mail (about 2 hrs. after my wife brought home my first BM 42) and I was really surprised about the size and weight. All in all it may turn out to be a good camping workhorse but it just will never compare to my 42.

Hehe I've got bandaids at home but I don't use 'em, I think they just prevent the healing.

A couple of minutes later I did it again! hehe.... this time it took a bigger bite in my left pinky and now I'm sitting with my hand high up, to stop the bleeding.. (I'm typing with one hand)..

What's up with this? I hope I'm just being anxious and careless, and that's why I cut myself.. cause I don't intend to bleed every time I flip! 8-)

And I don't want to tape it up... no I'm just gonna have to slow down a little while I get used to the Jags....

Yeah I'm gonne buy myself a BM42 as soon as I can spare the money !

Those Jags are virtually the same size and weight as a 4" Bali-Song USA 'skeleton' handled custom, just 'not quite' the same construction. Get that Jag down and you probably could 'flip' just about anything!!

you talking about the 239, Dawkind? because I wouldn't think that the stainless steel handles on the 45's would weight THAT much

Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me what BM42 like in flipping/smoothness, handle vs blade weight ratio etc.. and how about the Jag .. do they really feel like BM239 or BM159 (with inserts)?

I have one PC International series skeletonized handle, one PC International series with black inserts and one BM239s .. the BM of course surpasses those PC's ..

Please tell me the comparison to what I have .. cause I am still saving away for my BM42..

Got mine through SMKW,but they dont sell em any more :-( I've used mine more for a utillity knife,so its pretty ragged out. Please do share.

I'm talking about a Bali-Song USA custom with the skeletonized stainless handles; virtually the same size and weight but 'just a tad' better quaility!

Gigante, thank you. I know that the jaguars are not of the quality of a BM 42, but for $20, I think that the are about the best beginner knife out there. Cheap price, well made, and as someone else said, if you learn to flip one of these heavy things, you can flip any! I saw them at premeir systems for $50! Thnks again, and I could kick myself for not ordering more when I hade the chance.
