Know I've been posting a lot of videos, but I know I won't be able to make them while I'm at university.

Any critics are welcome. Hope you guys enjoy the review.

Really enjoyed your review on those GH Large Comps. I almost bought those sometime back, but I went for the GH Gen-X style instead. Although I really like the 11" Gen-X's. after seeing your review, and having a little over a month of throwing in, I suspect I'd do better with the 'Competition' blades. Maybe in the future I'll be looking at a set, but for now I'm all bought out... Very informative video, thanks.

Nice review! I had been looking at these. I have a set of the large Genesis Gil Hibben knives and I use them often. I like the 10" length and the weight but I have experienced the same soft steel damage even though I never throw at the same target twice. I have about nine target faces and always avoid the one already pierced. But sometimes one misses. My backhand is atrocious and the other day I almost skewered a neighbor's goat when the ring on the rear of a kunai style knife hung on my pinky as it left my hand and flew randomly into the forest and over my fence. If a miss hits barbed wire or sticks in the dirt striking rock or even hits a pebble imbedded in a target face, the stainless blade damage has to be filed out. If you throw multiple knives at each another, even 1095 and 1075 steel will have skin slicing burrs before long. Still, they provide much more pleasure for the price than expensive pistol cartridges these days. And your review is very helpful.

Windshistler,
I'm so glad you enjoyed the review! In my experience, 1095 and 1075 rolls more often than it burrs, but I have had burrs appear. Unfortunately, as you saw in the video, I don't have multiple targets. It is probably good practice to follow what you said and throw at different targets each hit. But if you have a good metal file on hand, most burrs can be managed. Thank you very much for watching and giving some conversation!
