Gimme my platinum, please

Paid for the platinum renewal on 6/23 (Jun 23, 2013 13:17:17 PDT - $50.00 - Transaction ID: 30G604029N478410C) with Paypal, then followed instructions but can't figure out why I am getting nowhere fast. Thanks, please advise

Click on Settings (top right) -> Permissions Groups and update your group display"

I cant find anything under settings that says permission groups. I am at a dead end.

Give it a few more days. It might have to be entered in manually. It happens sometimes.
 
I thought Spark had managed to get it set up so PayPal could use the automated system, but I think that went away in one of the vBulletin updates. Overseas transactions and PayPal transactions have to be entered manually by Spark himself, and he has been very busy. It will help some if you edit your original post to include the transaction number so he can find your payment in the thousands of PayPal transactions he has every week.

Done. But just gotta say, this is something of an inconvenience, to say the least. In all of my renewals, with this username and previous, I never came across this problem. And it took three messages (all of which went unanswered) until I realized I should post here to hopefully find a solution.

Seems like a fix would save a lot of moderator time answering emails (though mine went unanswered). Don't mean for this to be a bitchy post, but think it's important for someone to hear it from the customer.

Hopefully it won't take more than a week?

If you think it's an inconvenience for you, consider what it has to be for the guy who has to manually enter not only your purchase, but all those others as well. Most of these problems are a direct result of the vBulletin software used to run the forum, which is a factor beyond Spark's control. Please try to be patient, he usually gets to these in three working days or less, at least when his whole world isn't on fire.
 
The other problem is the email Mr. Betzner sent his requests to. I don't think it leads anywhere anymore. Certainly not to anywhere a moderator can see it. That still needs correcting, instead of misleading our members.

Meanwhile the best way to bring glitches to our attention is right here in Tech Support.
PMs to moderators or to the email in my sig line are a good backup channel.
