Is Gin-1 a decent performer? I have seen a couple older knives with it...

My experience with GIN-1/G-2 has been quite good. Some say that it doesn't hold an edge as long as AUS-8 but I may not be as hard on a knife as others.

I have Gin-1,G-2,ATS-55,ATS-34 440,everyother steel,etc. and they all perform just fine for me.I just go with the flow when Spyderco brings out a new steel type.It must be for the good,right?tom.
