Gingami steels?

I bought a Olfa fixed blade utility knife yesterday (came with a magnetic sheath), and on the packaging, it said that the blade was made of Gingami 5 stainless steel.

I ran a few searches in English and Japanese, but I couldn't find anything about the steel. Anyone have an idea as to the properties of the steel?

i dunno about G-5.. but G-2 steel has .9 carbon, .6 manganese, 15.5 chromium, .5 molybdenum and it's supposed to be a really great steel.

consider this a bump 'til someone who knows what they're talking about shows up.

Tactical Knives did a piece about G5 a few years ago in a regular column they have on steel types. If you can find some older TK's, look it up.
