:( :( Im so mad at my self but maybe i can help someone else, I have my surefire e1e sitting at home on my dresser , with 12 nice new batteries next to it. I carry the e1e everynow and again, but friday night i left it at home. my gf and i went to a carnivel in pa and as we were walking up a long dark drive way she stepped in a pothole and fell and broke her wrist. :( , so from now on i will always have my e1e with me. Im so mad at myself because it didnt have to happen. I hope someone else can learn from this .

Put a Photon II on your keychain and leave it there. It'll come in handy more than you realize.

Sorry to hear about your gf's wrist. Wishing her a speedy recovery.

I am so sorry that your GF broke her wrist!!! That is awful.
I ALWAYS have a flashlight on me, ALWAYS. I have for many years.

I like Photons too and always carry one on my key chain. But, I'm really a fan of the Fenix LOD CE 1xAAA light. It's small enough that I carry it all the time and it has plenty of light when needed. It also has a long run-time on on its low setting if that's important to you.

I'm now old enough that a fall can much more easily result in a broken bone. I also don't see as well as I used to when it's dark. I always have both the Fenix L0D CE and a Photon Freedom on me.

Wishing A speedy recovery for your GF... Get her (yourself too) a small light that's small enough to truly be an EDC item.

I almost always have a Dorcy 1AAA LED on me all the time. It's light and pretty compact. It's gotten me out of a couple of jams when my larger lights were nowhere near.

My wife has an Inova Microlight on her keychain and uses it alot.
I'm working on getting her to carry something a little larger in her purse, but she already requires a team of sherpas just to haul it around.

Good luck and a speedy recovery!

i like the Streamlight Keymate a lot

i always carry my Fenix L1P too though

Another vote for the Photon. Nope, its not as bright as most of the others, but if its on your keychain, you've always got it with you. Adequate for its purpose.

even that cheap flashlight at the local wally world check out is better than nothing.

sorry that happened to her, a wrist can take a long time to heal.

ouch, sorry to hear.

I also vouch for getting a photon on your keychain if anything. You should always have your keys with you, so if you do ever forget your e1e then at least you'll have something to light a path for you, or find something in the dark.
