Hey All,

I thought I would share this one with ya. For those of you not familiar with my work, at some point in time I decided to make a micro version of my DTAC knife just for fun. It is small, 5" in overall length, with a 2" blade. Hand rub finish / black linen micarta slabs. I made a little kydex neck sheath, and off it went to the 2001 Blade Show. I really had no intention of making any more, but................, others who saw it, just had to have one. Most of the comments were "it's so cute". Well, the wife took an interest in it, making the same comment as all the rest "it's so cute" and I want one. She placed a few more demands on the knife than the original, such as, I want mine polished, and I dont want micarta slabs, I want pearl instead, and fancy little pins. So I conform, and for those of you married, and have understanding wives, who allow you to spend all of your free, and not so free time in the shop, you understand. Her last request (demand) was, I dont want a kydex sheath, make me another kind. So of course, I agree. Anywho there it is, the Mini-Tac with Pearl slabs, mirror polished ATS34, mosaic pins, housed in a handle up, leather neck sheath, over-layed with black stingray skin!

Enjoy,

David

WOW! That is easily the most beautiful necker I have ever seen. I bet the sheath is just as awesome.

BTW, how much shop time did this knife get you :D

David (and Sabrina!) You've done it again. I wonder if I can lock Betty out of this site. If she sees that...

It's a beauty. :D :D :D

(BTW--check out Dave's Avenger--what a blade!!! )

Thanx for the comment guys, I really appreciate it.

Ya know Blademan, you reach a point in time while working on a piece, where you really do not want to know the time involved, cus ya know your working for .25 cents an-hour.:) This was one of those times.

KWM, I'm more of the tactical / user knife guy myself, but that MOP is something to look at when it's all polished up!

Knife-doc, if it's easier for you, I can just throw an attachment on an email to Betty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Regards,

David

Nice knife.

I was hoping to see something along the lines of Herman's femtac though. ;)

Hi David,

That is very nice. Seems like you have great taste in knives and friends :D.
