I have an old Boy Scout knife. It's a fixed blade. KaBar. It needs a new home. I'd prefer to give it to a current Boy Scout, preferably with the initials KC, as that's what's carved in the back of the sheath. It's sharp, it's functional, it's served well for more years than I care to think about. But it's ready to move on and help another Scout with some woodcraft.

Post a photo of a currant Scout, and the first one with the right initials wins. If we can't find another KC I'll draw a number. We'll let this run a week (unless KC shows up before then).

A very nice gesture! Being an Eagle Scout I can safely say a current Scout would be thrilled to have it. 🎩 off to you!

Pretty awesome GAW. Shame I don’t know anyone whom is a scout. I was a cub scout. But never into boy scouts.

Very nice gesture for a very nice knife. Be aware that any Scout you gift it to will be prohibited from wearing or using it at any official BSA function. The BSA (after selling them for years and featuring them in the Fieldbook) outlawed fixed blade knives at their activities and on their properties. That didn’t sit well with this old Eagle Scout and former Scouter. OH

A lady friend has A nine-year-old grandson who is a cub scout. Ha just received his first Cub Scout folder and is starting to show an interest in knives, as his dad is a bit of a collector. His initials are not KC, but I have started an inquiry among his fellow scouts. If your knife is still around and if he turns up a pal with the right initials, I’ll let you know.

Very generous of you. I will ask around. There has to be a scout with those initials that needs a great knife.

Unfortunately I don't know any active scouts (much less with the initials KC) right now, but I will keep an ear out, and tune into this GAW. I like the idea a lot. I took my kids to a sportsman show here in town about a week ago, and they were very interested in the Scouts. I suspect that in future years there will be some scouts running around my house :)
