In case anyone here digs Twig stoves, this modular sexy time is being developed.

Yes i just backed this, and thought i would share the info, as i think this concept, and the creator of Firebox is quite rad.

I've been watching youtube videos about that new stove. It's a really neat system that can accommodate a lot of different applications if you get the full kit. I don't know if I'll get one, though. I get good use from a couple of cheap folding stove, plus the "Ikea" stove that I made from a stainless kitchen utensil holder I got from Waldemart. If I want something bigger, I think one of the folding fire pits/grills might serve my needs better.

Which reminds me that I haven't built a fire since November! I must rectify that oversight soon.

I really enjoy Firebox Steve's videos, attitude, and design approach.
The long 6 and 8 panel rectangle setups just screamed grilling fresh caught fish to me.
What really got me into this twig stove concept was it really drove in the leave no trace ethos combined with efficiency......especially for short stops/breaks, or setting up late and not getting into doing a full on campfire.
I am really looking forward to this.

One of the things that I like about twig stoves is that it gets your fire lay above the ground, which is a good thing if it's wet and/or cold. Containing the fuel with plenty of ventilation really makes it easier to get things going under less than ideal conditions. Plus, you can have a little fire on your porch or driveway whenever you want!

What I'd like to see is something where you either elevate the coals or lower the grill to make it easier to grill stuff over coals. If you don't have a good hardwood, it makes cooking over the open flames less than ideal, but once you have coals, it's good to go.
