picked this up at a flea market and cant find any info on it. Tang stamp reads Ka Bar olean n.y. other side reads- union cutlery co. olean n.y. Please share what you know. Is it new or old? Value? Re handle?

Thank you

If it's a rehandle someone must've had a die in their drill press to spin those pin heads like that.

The blade shape looks a little funky, but having never seen one before I couldn't say if it's been modified.

Pretty cool knife though, some nice looking handle scales too.

Looks like a legitimate knife that someone modified by grinding down the blade spine. Not real old, but maybe c.1970 or so? I am not an expert.

Made for KA- BAR by Canal Street Cutlery about 8 or so years old.

I like that swedge and the whole knife in general. Very traditional!--KV

Charlie, the blade above looks like it may of had some work done along the top edge, but it might be just the lighting. I have tried to find a real picture of one although this is all I could find, a rather poor image.

Thanks Russell!! Nice to see a sourced picture.
The swedge looks quite uneven on the OP, holo07.
I like the jigging on the handle!!
