OK. The basic models of our new assisted opening knife, the Flash, have begun shipping. I was playing with my samples on my scanner and thought I'd give you a taste. If I scan more, I'll post them here.

These are the Flash I & II (2.5" & 3.5" blade) with Zytel handles and partially serrated blades. Other models will include straight blades, black TiNi coated blades, graphite gray colored aluminum handled models (with black TiNi blade options), etc.

If you want to send both Flash models to me, (FREE, with no return ;)), I'll do a real-life test of them for SOG, and then publish MY results here at the SOG Forum.

You still have my address, don't you?...:D.
 
Hey Ron,
Wow, that looks very good. About this "bolt action lock," how is it compared to the arc-lock or backlock. I like the feature of the extra safety and with the colour telling you whether its ready or not.
Also, is it going to be in retail in Canada by any chance?
 
FC Yuk: The Arc-Lock is simply one of the most outstanding lock designs available. That being said, the piston lock is very secure. It lock up solidly and will be more secure than traditional lock backs.

Dan: I've been trying to think of some witty retort, but can't come up with one. You know I'd love to send you these, but it just isn't going to happen. It you want to "play," you'll have to come up here for a little drive (that includes weekends...you just tell me when). :)
