Ok,

Some folks get excited when I write about the Busse knives I give away.

I figure there are alot of you who give gifts to your Kids, Wife, other Family
members and friends

Gifts that cost $100.00 to $400.00 every year or two.

A stereo,mp3 player,TV, all nice things to get as a gift, but things that lose value over time.

I tend to give gifts that tend to retain a certain resalability(Did I just make that word up?)

Tools, Firearms, Gold/gems, and yes Busse knives.

So, I give Busse knives to those that seem to have an interest.

Do you take Friends out to dinner?and a few Beers/Drinks? Could you buy a knife for what it costs?

Would your friend prefer to get the knife?

Maybe spent the Social time with them Chunking the knife at a target?

Or maybe practicing other knife skills?

I give my wife Gold and Diamonds(once in a while) mostly to commemorate (yup that's how you spell it,I looked it up)trips we go on.

She Likes Shiny Busse's

I gave each of my Kids their choice of a Graduation ring, or a Graduation Busse.

That was when I was just a retail Buyer of Busse knives, back in 1999.

I continue to give Busse knives as gifts, people I love, see me with a new one and some times they really like it,,,,So,,,,,

Total what you spend on services and gifts that lose value.

I think that you to might find that these knives might just be a better way to spend your money.

This has been a cheap last twelve months for me concerning Busse knives.
Skeleton Keys being both handy and cheap("inexpensive", for those of you with a problem calling a Busse a cheap knife)

Ok, the Nick was not a cheap knife, But I did mention that my wife likes "Shiny Busse knives, and I would like her to not use the Game Warden(a some times constant fear of mine) Thank you Tim.

Good on you! Magnanimous even. I think that when many of us get excited about giving them away, it is really an indicator of how dear they are to us. Maybe even ... precious...

I have a thought or two about giving one or two away, but I want to give it to someone who will appreciate it and use it or who will grow to appreciate it. I mean I can't use even a portion of the measly whack o' Busses I have. (Man, I hope my wife doesn't read this.)

A cloven hoofed salute to you Andre. I hope to be able to part with a few myself someday.

Cheers,
Bill :D

You can call me "Friend" anytime. I can verify what Andre stated above, I have made a few deals with him and he was interested in knives he "gave" away as part trade, I don't think he has totally "gave away" his N.I.C.K. knife yet, but it sounds close!

When you think about what he said, it does make more since than what we tend to give as the more common gifts, its just the part about "giving up" INFI thats tough!
:D

Agreed, Andre shows how to do it right.

I've only given away one to someone who needed it, (and had Mrs Hamguy "take" a few, so maybe that counts...) but I have some nephews coming up, and they will get some Wauseon love for sure.

It does feel great though!!

uncle mike, it's always great to run into you on the board :D

The Busses are mine. MINE MINE MINE!

but I have given some damn nice knives to new born nephews. The mothers couldn't figure out why you would give a baby a knife but the fathers understood.

anytime anyone wants to give away any Busse knives I would be a very grateful receiver !!

Seriously though, they make a great gift but some people just don't understand knives !!

Speaking of giving away Busses, the USPS left something nice on my front porch today, from Alaska. Thanks, KAAK!

Just because of that most interesting speech I'm going to give each of my family members a Busse for Christmas. Obviously only the ones that deserve one, so after that physics level equation the total drops significantly. No doubt the wife is on that list...err wait a sec...nope she's not on there either. So that leave my Mom and Dad.

Why wait until Christmas. I'm going to pick each of them up a Busse at the show. I know my Mom would love something small for the kitchen and my Dad loves all my knives.

THANK YOU TOO AND YOUR WELCOME!!! :D ;) :p

Oh yeah. I forgot to tell you that I have also sent my dirty boxers down. Hate flying with them. So those may be them :p

Uhm .........................Andre I love you,.................Does that count :D

Wow, I am among true men. Knives as gifts is something my family expects. I have purchased knives for all my children (6). I have one for my newborn son even. (No, he can't quite hold something like a Busse, but soon.) I don't own a Busse yet, a little out of my range currently. But, reading about such great sharing and comradery in addition to Busse unsurpassed reputation has put me in motion to save up and purchase, hopefully a NO for myself and maybe one for my son who is graduating Coast Guard boot camp next month. Thanks for sharing your experience as well as your Knives. Hopefully I will be part of the Busse tradition soon.

Man, that is good news! The wife came in from work and asked if the field lines on the septic tank were clogging up.

I once traded a Lean MeanStreet Prototype for a $20 dollar cake...
Santa needed a Satin finish LMS for someone special, I gave him one.
I was going to give Mr. & Mrs. Skunk one for Christmas this year but I can't make up my mind on what to give them

Maybe a Machete' and an Axe ;) Im still working on it....

I think you should give Mrs. Skunk a one way ticket to MD :)
