Giving big honking handles a Wasp Waste...

A long long time ago in far and distant land I went to a Khonvention in Oklahoma hosted by the highly acclaimed Yvsa. The man has every Khuk you can think of. It was a great experience.

However what I am writing about is how he had taken khuks that were too large for his hand and modified them to fit. He sanded down the ring imbetween the ring and middle finger to make it skinnier there and called it a wasp waisted khuk.

Anybody have any pics of these? I have some khuks that I have pulled out and begun to play with and am thinking about putting on a wasp waste on a couple. Just trying to see with my eyes what I see in my head, if that makes any sense.

If you have any comments or suggestions on tips or tricks on how such a thing is to be done that would be appreciated also.

Thank you!

I found that holding the ridge between my ring and pinky fingers, it is no longer an irritant. I also seem to get a better grip that way.

I put the ring between my ring finger and pinky when I'm doing some heavy chopping or I feel the need to make it more "snappy".

If I'm using it more like a machete or a sword, I place the ring between my middle finger and ring finger.

Dave I'm not sure I have any left except my YCS but would you like to see a scan of that if I can get around to it in a few days when I'm able? ;)
