So, the weather was great today. Took some stuff outside to work. Never put the micarta on my BK10LE, so i figured today was the day. I had some fitment issues, but got that worked out & snugged all 3 HHCS down & found that the micarta protruded past the steel on the top of the handle & on the bottom, quite a bit. So, out came the Dremel 4000. I was making good progress, jammin to some tunes & lovin life. My wife comes home from work, so i stand up to give her a hello kiss. After that while i was sitting down, the cord of the Dremel caught the BK10 & spun it, so that the blade and an inch or so of the blade was over the edge of the picnic table that i was working on. It then tipped forward & fell. It landed about an inch from my nuts & the point stuck into the wood. My wife looked at me with BIG eyes. I said, "see, it's jealous that i kissed you." I thought that was funny, her---not so much. Anyways, I made the micarta smooth all the way around & tapered into the handle for a seamless transition. Hit the extended pommel with a sanding drum & made the edges nice & sharp for a fire steel. Man i LOVE this knife. It is the reason i just HAD to get my BeckerHead #.
Oh yeah, I also got my new drill press out & made some bow drill divots on each side. They look a little oblong---but thats because of the contours of the famous Becker comfy handles.
And finally, another bad attempt of a Warrior shot ! LOL
Hope you enjoy. FWIW- I thing the bow drill divots should be Factory on the micarta scales, but thats just me.
