Giving up on finding an ASH-1

I guess it just isn’t in the cards for me to find an ASH-1. I’ve scoured the internet ( including here) for ages and this model just doesn’t come up for sale very often. If they are ever for sale they are snatched up instantly. I finally have a job where I can afford an ASH-1 but little does that matter. If any of you have a lead on where I could find one ( even a user) I would be most appreciative.
 
Hey Jharp! If you have email and push notifications turned on for ebay and bladeforums you will 100% find one.

There was one on ebay Battle grade. 25 thick with sheathe on auction sold for less than Market value less than a month ago.

Then there was the battle grade sold by little hoot not even 2 weeks ago on bladeforums exchange,

Then there was a skinny Infi. . 19 thick forest green coated with Mags 85% user a bit over a month ago on bladeforums.

Then there was a combat grade. 32 thick Stripped Infi ASH1 sold within the last 3 weeks on Bladeforums.

I know this because I picked up 2/3 of those 🔪🔪

You just have to be 300% on the ball. With notifications and actively looking, they are out there.

But it did take me 18 months to find a Stripped combat Grade user. Which was the Ideal blade.

Patience and quick fingers will land you an ASH don't hesitate when you see one. Cos no one else will 🙏👍

Don't give up.

They aren't all in the hands of Andy the Aussie, Tuica and Jaaxx.

I didn’t know you could set push notifications ( or even how to do that) on Blade forums/ eBay. Thanks for the heads up. I’ll try to figure out how to do that.

You can also set your internet browser homepage to "watched forums" on Blade forums Im watching Busse combat knives and busse combat exchange, so if I'm bored ever I open my phone press home and I can see the latest listing's.

They’re certainly not as prevalent as they were when I began this madness back in 2013. But they do surface occasionally - and you need to be Determined; Diligent; and Decisive. Best of luck in your hunt. Reward and frustration all in one adventure.
 
I spent a couple of years (lazily) looking for a Chopweiler, then wound up with two for great prices here within a couple of weeks. Obvs the ASH-1 is in higher demand than the Choppy these days, but don’t give up!
 
I looked for you earlier this morning. eBay and Arizona Custom Knives. Nada.
Also noticed there’s not many of my other two favorites. DSF and SJTAC.
 
Maybe it's a sign you should starting hunting for another form of swine, I know the ASH-1's are very popular but I've had several and they are some of the knives I miss the least. No disrespect intended but for me the form factor of the knife (mainly width or overall footprint) is much too large for a belt knife for normal sized human beings. I remember voicing this many years ago that it would be a handle/width design better suited to significantly longer blade. Then the ASH-2 came around Blade 2015 I believe and I've always wanted to try one of those, they look freaking amazing. I guess if you want a knife you can stash in the glove box most of the time it's a lot of knife but I question whether many would ever carry it on the belt and the same goes for many 7-8 Busse knives with full tangs. I've carried Res-c knives like the Taliwhacker at 7" and it's very reasonable but the ASH-1 literally feels like double the knife there. If you really want to treat yourself for a compact beast that's not so large in the handle, I much prefer the TRASH-1 to the ASH-1... I know it's bordering on heresy.

I gave up on my search for an ASH (1 or 2) because of the prices they’re fetching for on the secondary and also because the Trash 2 is great. I do like SR-101 a lot, which helps too. I wasn’t around for a Trash 1, but thankfully, the recent SYKCO offerings have filled that gap nicely.
