Glad I don't have to pick one or the other!

Just got my new Moore Maker 3.75" single blade Trapper in today and man is it nice! It's a good cousin to the CS Trapper I got a few days back. I would hate to have to choose one over the other as both have something unique about them. The CS is stainless (14-4 CrMo) and the MM mirror polished carbon steel.
Smooth autumn sunset bone on the CS and smooth Buffalo Horn on the MM. Long pull on the CS with easy on the fingers spring, half stop on the MM with perfect tension (to me). Fit and finish top notch on both. I was toying with the idea of trading the CS because the blade was a tad over 3" but I think I better keep it now. :)

They are both nice Steve. The smooth Buff almost looks like wood up close.

You've got a couple of keepers there. Every time I see a knife in smooth Buffalo I want one. Yours is beautiful ... may have pushed me over the edge.

I see what you mean about not being able to choose one over the other. The graceful clip on the MM is just right and I love the bone on that CS.

2 beauties, but that slender MM is extra sexy, 'specially with that streaky buff horn.

Love those horn slabs.
I am recently introduced to Moore Maker and have been super pleased with their products. Meant for hard work but also very handsome. Definately will be adding more MM's to the collection.

Who is making the horn Moore Makers now?

This seller had a lot of Moore Makers that were bought at the Camillus factory auction. I cannot find that particular knife anywhere else so I don't think there were a lot made? Man, are there any brands that Camillus hasn't made at one time or another?

i thought that moore makers are being made by bear and sons.

Seems that some models are made by different makers? From what I can gather in searches and such is that the
Buffalo horn knives and other higher end models were not made by Bear & Sons. There is also no "B" on my
model#. It also makes sense to be a Cammy since it was purchased at the factory sellout.

Just some. They have a B in the part number.

I thought it was a Camillus.I just went to their website and they still have Camillus stock, or a few versions of trappers and a stockman with a punch blade. They are good quality pieces.
