Glad I got a RAM!

My Kershaw RAM blem in black came in from Kershaw Guy today (Definitely ordering from you more by the way!) and I am so glad I got one before they were gone. The first thing I did was look for why it was a blem and the only thing I could find is that the triple thumbstuds weren't perfectly even on each side and some of the finish near them was worn. Boo hoo, it's a flipper anyways and I plan on using it so the state of the coating and the thumbstuds is a "do not care" aspect for me! :D Then I made the mistake of deploying it. Oh I'm not saying that in a bad way, I'm saying it was a mistake because it has ruined all other flippers for me. The thing isn't even assisted and it's just as fast as the notorious Leek in my opinion. DEFINITELY giving this as much pocket time as it can take! After handling this RAM, I know what I was missing all along and I'm even more sad to see it go. :(

The Ram is such a cool knife, especially after they break in a but, then they become more than wonderful.

I've heard a lot of good things about the RAM but never really liked the design. But now I'd have to say its growing on me, same thing happened with the JYD. I may have to put the Ram next on my list.

The RAM is a knife that really has to be held and used to really
appreciate what a great design it is. And really great is an
understatement IMHO. Still my favorite knife.......ever.

+1

I wasn't interested in the RAM at all until I held a buddy's. I still think the design looks pretty weird, but it feels good in the hand, has a great lock mechanism, features a steel and materials that I love, and is an extremely capable knife. I have two of 'em.

I love the Hawk Lock and hope that Kershaw plans to use it on future models. It's the coolest.

The RAM is really a great knife that's easy to underestimate if you've never handled it...Smooth opening, great lockup, feels good in the hand.....it's definitely in my top 5 favorite knives, and for it's price its a great value...It performs at the level of knives twice it's price or more, and, in some cases, outperforms those knives. All around great from Kershaw

I've never liked the look of the production RAM, but Grant and Gavin Hawk's custom models really interest me...

Any lefty's care to weigh in on how the knife handles with the lock button. Is it awkward at all?

I'll say it once again, my favorite Kershaw ever. Love mine, just wish it would have stuck around long enough to get a steel upgrade.

svrider3 thanks for the video that really helps a lot. Good thing too since I ordered the knife yesterday. I figured if the Paramilitary with it's unlefty friendly comp lock didn't stop me, the button wouldn't beat me either. Appreciate it!

After looking at that video I am really excited about getting it. It looks smooth as butter in the video. Not the prettiest knife I have ever seen but looks like it will make a great user.
