Hi Everybody,

I made a (I think) pretty cool Zombie Skin Gladius sheath

1st thank you to a very patient friend/customer for being very cool with some set backs.

1st skin ruined (soaking for 3 years = too long)
2nd skin went bad
3rd skin rotted (learned a lot on this)

4th time is a charm

He wanted a Roman themed Tattooed sheath with stitches.

I would say mission accomplished

Up top we have a Legionnaire/Roman symbol
SPQR = Senātus Populusque Rōmānus = "The Roman Senate and People"

With a Laurel surrounding a Gladius and I put some Busse touches on it like holes in the scales and talon holes.

I also drew up a traditional Legionnaire shield that put a cool pop of red, black and gold in the "tattoo" the wings are goldish.

A little smoke and random green olive leaves add to tie it all together

What do you all think ?

Utterly AMAZING!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Heck, David, the Huck Fin sheath I just got is incredible man. But this....this....is just pure skill and art. It's off the chain lol....

You still have more of that left? What's the price on a custom job like that? It looks outstanding.

Kind of creepy to me but, based on the goals I'd say it's a home run! it's like this, you can't just go out and find this and for that point alone, It's one off art at it's finest!
Overall it's an amazing package, hell just having a Gladius in the first place is quite the score.

Wow! Awesome! I can see my incoming BG FBM outfitted in such skins! Great work, as always :thumbsup:

Really nice job at having so many details but not looking overly busy / cluttered! I'm sure it's not everyone's style but it's executed really well.

More Rome meets Texas Chainsaw Massacre than zombie skin to me, but that just ups the bad@$$ factor.

We have a bunch of Marines here helping out with relief effort on Puerto Rico and I sent them over a bunch of goodies and they invited me over to their Ball that they are going to have. Tradition is you cut the cake with a Marine NCO or Officer sword, but since we don't have one, I figure a Roman gladius would work just fine.

Multiple prototypes to make sure customer was happy.
Professional at his best.:thumbsup::)

Thank you all for the kind words, I really appreciate it and all the business over the years.
