Glad you didn't sell it!

Lately I have been thinking about my most carried knife and how my views have drastically changed on it.

Back in January I purchased a #74 Stallion with Ebony Wood. The moment I got it in hand I regretted the purchase, not sure if it was because I wasn't able to get one of the Heartland Clips or I had two Bullnoses on reserve. After sitting in my drawer for two months I decided I would try and sell it, but in the course of carrying it with me to show people I really started enjoying the knife.

Fast forward to now, I can't imagine not having this knife. Those pesky tags on my daughters toys are no match, who needs those sorry restaurants steak knives, and how would I do my cooking at home.

I was just wondering how many others have had a similar experience?

Cheers!

Well, not a situation where I had a knife I wanted to sell per se, but I have had knives that I really didn't think that much of until I started carrying and using it regularly.

I suppose it's a common one, but a Case Peanut is my surprise. I had bought one a while ago when I first got into pocket knives but it was too small for my tastes. But for a period of time of about 9 months, a Peanut was the only thing I could carry during the work week, and I became rather attached to it.

So to this day, there is usually a Case Peanut (or similar small knife) in my jeans watch pocket. Though it is often a companion to something a little larger.

Kind of miss a stag pemberton I sold awhile ago. I've given away a few of my carries that I miss some including my first gec ( rust red white owl) that my ex wife keeps in her car. Most of them I'm glad I gave up. One I regret is a yellow rose 81 give away. It was abused then lost.

All....so true. I have not sold a knife, I regret selling (well maybe one). But, I have not loved certain knives until I started carrying and used them.
