Hi all I have had a request to find someone a sword Gladius Hispaniensis to be precise .
I know of plenty of places I could find a good katana but this is more niche . I’ve looked but it isn’t proving fruitful the only requirements are 22” long any suggestions ? Thanks guys

At the low end, you have the machete builds with the profile.

Moving up by leaps and bounds are the Deepeeka gladius offerings.

With that, one is going to find stuff through many sword vendors.

Sword Buyers Guide shares links freely.

Kingston comes to mind for a Chinese gladius. Really, too many to list. Punch in gladius and KOA.

Well above what Albion wares are customs and makers such as Patrick Pointer RHEMA Creations. He has had some life issues.

Yep its a little disturbing!

What is your budget? There is Del Tin from Italy and also an Italian blade maker called Pier Paolo Rvsticvs Siercovich. Kult of Athena is a good source in general.

Avoid Deepeeka. Total crap quality and they don't heat treat their blades. I have heard that supposedly they have an agreement with KOA to heat treat the blades that they send to them but I don't know how reliable that is.

This has been an ongoing negotiation between KoA and Deepeeka. I would wait awhile before I bought anything from Deepeeka, until KoA gives us the "all clear". KoA, however, is a good outlet with good customer service in my experience.

Deepeeka has been working with Roman reenactors ( folks like Matthew Amt) accuracy this past quarter century.

It kind of goes back to the initial inquiry and the standard of 'what are you going to do with it?'

The machetes have the profile, are sharps, are cheap enough to buy anything vaguely looking like one...

Just 319 days until Christmas

I'm not sure we'll see any new stock from Fulvio Del Tin. KOA has not had any come in. He had sold some old new stock on the web page but nothing new in awhile. Email him with interest. I did ping him three years ago and he was hoping to do more work but he had some injuries a few years ago.

If accuracy is not so important, there are oodles of options. SBG has the most recent popularity discussions and reviews in one place for the sub four figure budget.
