Gladius Question

good question. It IS historically accurate, howeversince this seems to be a family friendly forum, lets just call it a sheath.
 
For those of us who are not lawyers or doctors, what would that word be?

I wouldn't worry too much in a forum where we talk about BJ's and beating our Mistresses all day. :D

If a Roman soldier was particularly whiney, he might be said to have had sand in his Gladius scabbard.
 
BUSSE doesn't supply sheaths, guess that chatter could be excluded on that basis alone :), however if the opposite were the case....
