Gladius Vs. FMV14

Where pics?
Going off memory, sold all my gladii. Im estimating gladius around one and a half pounds heavier, with round pommel, longer handle, extra scale mass, and extra blade mass. Fmv14 swings perfect for me, the way i wished the gladius did. Gladius might be a better chopperbut it was slow

Googled around and found this pic

I had one gladius and it was not a fast handler, but the handle made for a two handed hold which was nice. The FMV14 is much lighter and easier to wield. But you are not getting a two handed hold on it. Since for me they are both fantasy items, I prefer the FMV14

Historically, a gladius was used one-handed, in a thrusting manner, for stabbing. The weak hand was holding a tower shield.

The FMV14 looks "weaker" than the Gladius due to the anemic profile and, if stabbing thousands of armored opponents, I'd prefer the Gladius.

Being a fucking psychopath in 21st Century USA I'll stick to guns for self defense and play with my FMV14 in the comfort of my own home and be satiated against my thirst for a Gladius and patiently await the next, longer iteration of the FM series blade and immediately buy it and, again, play with it in my house.

I took some measurements of mine and I'm still not sure which I'd pick. Gladius has some extra heft and seems like a stronger blade. The V14 feels considerably lighter. I think when we run out of bullets the wife gets the V14 and I'll run the Gladius. If I was to pick which one we take the blade to 26 inches I'd pick the Gladius. :)

V14 blade thickness .25
Gladius .28

V14 handle at the thinnest is 1.27"
Gladius 1.11"

V14 weighs 31.5 ounces
Gladius weighs 38.2 ounces
