I found the directions for this application of netting in the book "Knots for Beachcombers and Mariners" by Ron Edwards.

Nice. I got some of those but the net rotted away. Looks like it's doable.

That's very cool...!

Found one in the Aleutians years ago and, thankfully, the netting is still fairly sound.

Odd to think everything those glass globes have gone through...
