I finally took some pictures of my dad's old Hornby custom. He bought this from Glen at a family reunion years and years ago (Glen Hornby is my uncle).

I was hoping that Tom Mayo would notice these, and take a look.

Well, not under the weather, but I am recovering slowly from a bad bike crash

Nice knife-I had a number of Glenn's knives thru the years, but foolishly sold or traded away every one!!!!!!!! :(

I do have the first nice hollow ground Loveless style hunter I ever made, under Glenn's watchful eye :)

He was a wonderful man, I find myself sitting in my shop thinking about him quite often.......he left us far too early.:(

I tried to go over to my brother's house and get a picture of his (he his Hornby knife from my grandfather when he passed away), but he was not there when I tried.

Tom, hopefully your bike crash was not too bad. I recently got a heavy crash jacket for riding my motorcycle, though hopefully I won't ever have to use ti. Thanks for the words. Do you know what steel Glen used? Most of the pieces I have seen of his appear to be a stainless? I am assuming something in the 440's?

Hey Tom, if you're going to admit to a "bike" crash, at least let us imagine something a little more manly and exotic for a little while before you admit it was really a "bicycle"!

Your wild hawaiin bad boy image just went down a notch in my book!

Next thing you know, we'll find out all your surfin' is done on the internet (or an old long board)??

Hope you recover soon. Take care.

Schuyler

ha, good one skyman, I thought he was talking motorcycle at first too. But I have had some really bad bicycle crashes that did some real damage, and required some recovery time (not to mention a few near death crashes that were could have been close to life ending, but escaped without major injury). One thing about bicycle crashes is you typically don't have any protection on.
