I have had this knife for over 18 years I think (I think I was 12 years old when I bought it). I bought it from my uncle, Glen Hornby, a custom knife maker at a family reunion way back then. It was supposed to be a user for hunting. However, Glen Hornby died about 10 years ago, and now it is not replaceable so likely I won't ever use it. I will just pass it on to my son.

The pictures are very poor (my digital camera not working, so these are taken with a crapy normal film camera and I obviously don't know anything about taking pictures of knives).

Some are without flash and I did not hold the camera very steady I am afraid.

Nice looking knife. Looks well made. If you hunt I would still use it even though you can't replace it. It looks like it has a lanyard hole, just tie it off to your belt when you are hiking so you can be sure it won't fall out.

It was made to use and, to me anyway, a knife my dad used has much more sentimental value than one he kept in a drawer and never took out.

I just wish I could get my stupid digital camera working (or have the $ to get a new one).

I need to get a picture of my father's and my brother's knives from my uncle as well.

you should get in contact with tom mayo, who credits your uncle as a major influence on his own knife-making career

that is a nice knife, it will be a wonderful heirloom to pass on to your son

while i am a big proponent of using custom knives, i think it is perfectly fine to keep this one "pristine"

I have actually talked to him on here. I was hoping he would take a peek at this pic. I took pics of mine, and my father's, but of course my digi camera stopped working.
