First, the Gloat.

Yesterday I had a table at the NCCA knife show in Marlboro, Mass., recycling some of my knife collection so I can get some different blades. I had a good day and was about to go home and order that snakewood Mnandi from Arizona, when I did a last swing around the floor and found a dealer who had one new Mnandi that he didn't seem to be able to sell. So I got it for $250 instead of $330. :D The Tambouti inlay (I'm a wood nut, but I never heard of this before) isn't as spectacular as snakewood, but it's very attractive -- a lot like teak, but finer grained.

So what's the Gloom?

I put it into my jeans pocket this morning, and now I can't find it. :( I was out of the house once, and I've gone through the car twice, but no luck. I'm hoping it will turn up (I'm notoriously bad at finding things I've misplaced even when they're in plain view) but I'm feeling more than a little sick now.

Grrrrrr. :barf:

Hope you haven't worn out the carpet retracing your steps! My recliner has been known to eat knives. Hope you find it soon. I know I'd sure miss my Mnandi.

yeah, check the chair/couch/car seat cushions.

I have had seat belts pull knives right out of my pocket.

And it will probably turn up. This often happens to me!!

I really do hope that it turns up soon.

Good hunting, and good luck.

That's a nice looker there. Glad to hear you found it. Always hate it when one slips out of my pocket. Think about a G2 sheath, they fit so well that there is no way you could misplace one kept in it.
