On PBS they air what is probably one of the coolest travel shows ever produced. It's called 'Globetrekker' and it's produced by the same people that publish the Pilot series of travel guides. 'Globetrekker' is the only TV program I try to take the time out to regularly watch.
The show has several different hosts so they can film several different trips at a time, but they sent probably their best host, a Brit by the name of Ian Wright, to Nepal.
I saw a large chunk of the Nepal episode the other day (missed part of it unfortunately). The final segment was of some polygamous wedding ceremony in a remote mountain village where everyone, including the host, got decently drunk on the local hooch.
