Why not design the sheath to just mount on the front set of belt loop screws? Seems it would create a lot less bulk.

Interesting design. Back around 2003 I was working "Modern Day Marine" and our booth was next to Ontario, then it was Sue Green running their booth. We worked a lot of shows together and I listened in when a Marine Regimental Commander, just back from Iraq spoke to Sue about this very concept. He wanted a small knife that could be attached to a Marine's pistol holster, where it would be easily accessible. The problem then was that many different types of holsters were being used and hard to make a sheath that would mount to multiple types of holsters. John
