Hi all.
I´m getting a Glock 78 field knife soon, but i can´t seem to find out what kind of steel it´s made of. It is just listed as spring steel.
is it 1095 or something similar?

Regards

Jonas

I bought one because I have a block 17. I was able to get a pretty good edge on it, but it didn't last very long. Tough as all her out though. Basically in my knife drawer waiting for the apocalypse. Not good for much other than stabbing, and I don't see myself doing much of that.

I had a Glock field knife and while it sucked for normal knife tasks, it was made for toughness 1st through 4th and edge retention 5th. It won't hold an edge for crap, but the blade should be damn near iindestructible.

I was planning on this knife to be exactly that. Cheap, light and almost unbreakable. I have other knifes for my cutting tasks, Enzo and Mora mostly.

I think it is a stretch to call it steel. Metal is more like it.
Utter bullshit. It's military field knife made of spring steel and hardened at the mid50s RC as most military field knives are. Also tough enough to last for decades as most military field knives are.
