have any other's ever experienced any of his work? He is a local maker in Denton Texas and is a member/pres(?) of the Denton Area Knifefighters Association. I picked up this fighter of his at the last SOS show in Grapevine Tx.

I know there is a gnunting sword floating around here somewhere...........anyway, here it is, 5 sharpened inches of 1/4 inch 8670 steel, linnen mircata scales with hex screws/bolts. I have been working on the edge to get it ready for the weekend trip to Broken Bow to see how it functions as an EDC and around the camp. Let me know what you think.

Can't tell you anything about the maker, but that looks like a decently executed working knife. Is that the same sort of tool steel that John Greco previously used on his pieces ?

The edge bevel looks to me like the blade at the edge area is a little thicker than I personally like on my blades.

However, your testing around the campfire will tell you more about it than I ever can. Cheers. Jason.

It is pretty thick around the edge. I have tried to thin it out and brought it to a great level of sharpness on the EdgePro, but I still have some work to do. Sickness prevented me from getting out this weekend :grumpy: and I am home today as well. Hopefully next weekend.
