Need recommendation on a brand of gloves which provide good protection and reasonable dexterity while working with knives.

Thanks

I have the Hatch Friskmaster (the top model with the blended spectra/fiberglas fabric liner). I find them to provide decent dexterity. Haven't cut mine yet but an LEO friend says some of his buddies have tested them and thought they held up fairly well, unless you're up against an ice pick or a needle.

Glad to help. You may be able to find some tests/reviews on some of the law enforcement sites.

Also, there have been a couple recent glove threads here at Bladeforums. Either in Gadgets or the Wilderness forum. Even though you and I don't have BF search privileges, there's a way you can use Google to search the site---maybe someone will remind me?

There are quite a few gloves made for butchers/commercial meatcutters that are cut resistant but flexible.

You can restrict a google search to any particular URL by adding site:xyz.com at the end of your search argument.

For example to search bladeforums.com for the term 'gloves' enter the following into google

gloves site:bladeforums.com

Thanks very much! I'm hopelessly lame with anything related to computers. Friends joke that if they let me, I'd be using a stone tablet and chisels to write and communicating with two Dixie Cups and a string!
