I just picked up a Bravo necker with Ghost Jade G-10 scales and wasn't real impressed initially. I was so used to flawless Izulas. I sanded some on the G-10 scales, rear tang, and blade coating imperfection near the tip and it's growing on me. Much more comfortable now.

Anyways, the Jade G-10 got me thinking it would be cool if it glowed so......
I found some of my wife's glow in the dark fabric paint, removed the scales and filled the hollow area full of paint. Slapped it back together, "charged" a few minutes on each side with my little Maratac AAA flashlight and this sucker glows nicely. I wonder what a day in the sun hiking would do and how long it would glow.

Next up is a decent kydex sheath for it. The supplied one is pretty poor IMO. I know why they did what they did but it's just not working for me.

WHOAAAA!!

If I saw that bouncing through the woods at night, I'd RUN.

What a totally cool modification. I like it.:thumbup:

pretty darn cool man... how much room is inside the handle? looks like you could probably fit one of those glow in the dark keychain sticks/tubes inside...

The space is only about 1" long, and 3/8" wide. I'm not sure how big the glow keychain sticks are.

im liking it man! how is the bravo necker? :D
I'm liking it more and more. After some sanding to get rid of the sharp edges on the scales it's comfortable for harder use. I wish the blade was about 1/4" longer. Other than that, it's heavier than a wrapped Izula but I guess that's the price you pay for handle scales. The full convex grind slices like a champ!

very cool mod! i bet it will have some very nice kydex pants soon:D:D

If I can ever get caught up and if I can decide on a color. At this point I think I may just have to go with black. The stock one is driving me crazy though. I'll probably like the knife even better when the new sheath is done.
