I just HAD to do it again. I vowed I wouldn't, but I guess I lied.

Went Endura this time. Maybe BIGGER is harder to lose.

Pix of finished project are MANDATORY, you know.

I know this might be a crazy question but I figured I would ask just to make sure. What tools are needed to do this?Do you need special files to do a heat treated blade?

I use the crummy diamond set from Harbor Freight that runs about 5 bucks for the SET.
But be sure to LOOK at the files in the sets and pick out the ones with the best defined edges. Some are sloppy, some are not.

My first one was a SAK.

Good practice, but do NOT expect hardened steel to be that easy. It's been 2 and a half weeks and my index finger has just about quit hurtin. It does take some pressure.

I just saw your thread regarding the sheath and had to come check this one out.

Wow, that is one beautiful knife! Now, generally I am not too fond of Spyderco knives because of their "look" ... but that engraving really classed that Endura up! If you don't mind my asking, how much does a job like that usually run?
