Just received in the last week or so a couple new Northfield UN-X-LD Burnt Stag Beauties.
I decided to show both sides of each, as they are all great and really well matched, too.
IMO, GEC's stag right now is second to none in the production knife arena, approaching some customs.

Please add pics of your own GECs in stag (burnt, genuine, red, whatever) to make this thread a drool fest!

Nice pair you have there. I have to agree about Northfield's stag, I have a burnt stag Big Jack that has beautiful, well-matched scales.

Dennis, that's what I'm talkin' about!!!

I still think your #72 burnt stag is the nicest production knife I've ever seen--what stag!!
 
Is the bighorn the top left corner? I hear ya! The GEC muskrat on the top right corner is pretty awesome, too.
 
the bighorn is top left. the musk is 440c but i have same knife in 1095. the stag on the big horn is so deep you can eat ice cream from the handles.

joe-bob is your lockback tough to open? Just sent back a Northfield slimline trapper that was hard to open. Thanks
 
Oh man!! What a great thread. I'm decided on a new GEC for my 35th birthday, as it seems like a significant milestone in life.

I'm on the fence about which GEC pattern to get as well as which handle material to opt for: Bone and Stag were the two handle choices and the #54 Big Jack or the #53 Muskrat were the top two pattern choices. That's four possible general combinations right there. . .

But anyway, I'm glad that you all have posted so many pictures of your knives with the blades closed to give an idea of what the in-hand profile would feel like. It's actually kind of hard to find pictures of closed GECs, so my hat's off to all of you Northfield stag owners & forum members.

first Northfield knife and first staggy!!!, how is it despite the usual GECs/Tidioutes?
