Cool, thank you. I was just looking at these this morning, and now I have a better idea of the size of the thing. Need to order one.

Looks like I will be needing one of those myself!
Thanks for the pix.

i'm going to have to get one of these. the more i see it the more i like it.

A nice knife indeed! I should have one in my hands in the next couple of days......

I love the design, but doesn't the blade seem overly thick for such a small knife? How does it cut?

I don't own one but I do have a fair share of fat, short knives. So hopefully my input is useful.

The trick is in a tall blade grind, with either a full grind (no secondary edge bevel) or with an edge angle that is close to the angle of the main grind. This way the edge isn't too thick to slice with, even though there is a lot of metal behind it.

Looks like this knife fits the bill but again I don't own one so I might be off on this.

The Vox designed Rhino and Gnome are similar to the also Vox-designed Pry-Mate and Pry-Mini - except the latter are a bit larger and made of Austrian blade metal in Solingen. Of course, there is that pesky price difference; $50/$35 vs $299/$229. The 'Plus' line is reportedly made in either Taiwan or the PRC. I believe the video reviewer (Dagon?) said the Rhino was made in Taiwan - so, perhaps, the Gnome is as well.

I bit the 'bullet', so to speak. I have a Pry-Mate on it's way - my be here Monday! After seeing the Gnome - it and the Rhino looked interesting... then I had to look at that Rhino video - now, I 'need' both! Is there no stop to this madness??

I seen videos of the Rhino (I have one on order, taking forever to get), and have seen CHINA printed on the bottom edge of the knife. Seems most of the PLUS line are now China. For me I would rather see Taiwan on there, but oh well.

My Pry-Mate arrived. It came in a grey Boker Tree Brand Classic box - clearly states Solingen, Germany on the blade. Good grief it's heavy. The Kydex sheath is tight - it would make a safe candidate for a neck knife - break your neck if you try to extract it, of course. I wish I had 'evaluated' it's utility by buying a Gnome or Rhino first - might have saved some serious moola!

Not that you asked, but here's a tip: take some paracord and tie a celtic knot (or if you are crafty, a monkey fist!) on one end and a hangman's knot on the other and use it as a "virtual handle" for the rest of the knife. Make the length so that the knot will be just outside your pinky when you close your grip. This will give you much more control over the knife for slicing, etc.

I just love my Gnome and Rhino!!!

Where the heck are the Krein Pocket Bowies and the Mountain Buddys!?!

I can't take this anymore!
