Is the Benchmade skirmish 630 the biggest buddy among all folders. Or its is the best made quality knife with its size? seriously, just looking at that blade, woooo~ chill. ;)

Well, you can try the Camillus CUDA MAXX 5.5" in either Bowie style blade or stiletto style blade or the CUDA MAXX 7" in a stiletto blade. I believe that Cold Steel's Grand Vaquero also comes in sizes larger that the Skirmish.

The Maxx 7.0 is a spearpoint, actually.

Not really.

7" Maxx (spearpoint):

5.5" Maxx (so-called "stilletto"):

...Thanks to the websites/webmasters for the borrowed pics. :p

Peace.

Welcome to the forums!

Do a search. That way you'll get to read more opinions than this thread could ever generate. It also helps to prevent the forum from being cluttered up with question that have been asked umpteen times before.

Folders that are usually mentioned in such threads are, apart from the above-mentioned MAXX and Benchmade/Blackwood Skirmish, the Cold Steel Vaquero Grande (I highly recommend this model) and XL Voyager and Spyderco's Police, Military and Chinook models.
If you can find an Emerson Super-Commander, I'd recommend that.

Puukkoman, it is not the "so-called" stiletto bladed 5.5" CUDA MAXX, for that is what the maker and the designer call it. Now, I was not so correct on the 7" version. It does differ. I have the 7" version, but my 5.5" CUDA MAXX is a Bowie style blade and I would prefer it if the 7" had been available in a Bowie style blade, but it wasn't. I am not all that enamored of spear points.

i think the vaquero grande looks kinda brutal it would be like a 2-hand sword for me haha

WWII US issue folding machete, 10 inch blade :foot:

Edit: Wait, no, that's not quite the biggest I've ever seen, cuz if you wanna count OTF automatics I just remembered about the extremely rare Microtech Giant Halo. 12 inch blade, apparently fully functional going by the pictures I've seen. Do a search on google and you might be able to dredge up some old pictures.

I think the Mad MAXX 7.0 is the biggest folder that you could still reasonably call a "pocket knife", being that it still fits in a pocket and could be used for normal cutting tasks. Super-sized knives like the giant HALO or the Mooremaker Millenium are all well and good as display pieces, but they're not the kind of knife you'd actualy use.

Get out :D

Ha, if i ever own that halo, I would design a "custom" pants carry halo around everyday.

INSTRUCTION FOR USING Halo:
Naturally but firmly grab the handle with both hands, and you yell "Charge"
:D
