What is this "Super Bowl" that you speak of??? ...Is it made outta INFI?

;)

Sweet poetic justice. NFC championship over none other than Da Bears! Booo Ya! Lovin that! We got the Halas trophy, now for the Lombardi! Go Pack go! :D

Looks like it's going to be Pitt vs the Pack!

My mistake, your exactly right jaxx. That much platinum in one place would be rather insane.

It sounded better though.

Ya the trophy is only platinum... My second favorite metal.

Last I heard, the trophies are sterling silver, each handcrafted by Tiffany & Co. The figure of the Lombardi statue on the face of each championship ring is platinum, IIRC.

will a MOD kindly move this post to a
more suitable forum
perhaps whine and cheese ;)
I dont wanna have to see this any more. :D

Other than being an off topic thread (like several others currently on this Forum), I see no reason to move it at this time.
If you don't like it, then I kindly suggest that:

1. You leave the thread in search of something more suitable to your tastes.
2. Don't look back. :)

I am by no means a football fan by any stretch, but this thread is not hurting anyone and shouldn't be offending anyone so far (It's clean, lighthearted, and in good fun), and so for now it will stay put.

Any other Mods/SuperMods feel that I'm making a bad call here and that this should be moved, please PM me. Thx. :)

I'm nothing if not cooperative. ;)

The Bears made it a great game in the second half. I was thinking blowout when Cutler couldn't keep going. Awesome to see such an old-school physical game with one QB limping and bleeding from his elbow and the other spitting blood.

...On the other hand... If I am given a reason to move it, then it will go. Catch my drift?

ETA: Thank you for the edit. Let's keep it light! :)

Thanks Jaxx - its all in good fun. The Bears really made it a game and their defense was amazing.

Hats off to the Bears - Down to their third string quarterback and they still could have won the game !!:thumbup:

---although there is some poetry in placing this post in the Wine and Cheese forum :)

but but but

(i was only kidding,GB fans should be allowed a chance
to celebrate once in their lifetime)

da'Bears. . . are hibernating. :)

Looks like Dirty Sanchez is gonna go down hard. Too bad the Pats didn't bring their A-game last week. Pats/Steel woulda been a much better matchup.
