Been abusing my fixed 121 for the past hour or so on drywall around my windows. (trimming it up) I never used this knife much because I always felt like the Special was a safer bet to take with me. (Thicker) But this 121 has taken everything I could do to it and it is still sharp and unblemished. Been a Buck man for years and this is another reason why.

Sharpen up that 121 and put it in the kitchen. Your wife will love it.

Well Gooser, if you had a 121 in the kitchen instead of that monster 120, maybe your wife would be in there more and you wouldn't have to be. :D

I guess I am just use to the kitchen being a wimmens domain... :D You should have been here yesterday... Deer chops, mashed potatoes, gravy, home made rolls... :D

It was a fantastic day Dave! I'm glad you made the drive into the "city". I enjoyed your collection, insights and just talking about Buck Knives for hours on end. The Mrs. said your welcome to come back anytime.

Well, this thread is "Go,old school Buck", so I feel compelled to post this 1 line Personal that arrived last night. It has a flat pommel, narrow handle and finger guard, but it's not a barrel-nut. Possibly a 1962??

That 118 is in the old style sheath so if we assume it is the sheath it came in, the knife is from before 1964, which is when the holster style sheath came out.
I dont have my notes right here but I believe we think the switch from barrel nut to flat tang was early 1963. Thats about as close as I can nail down your knife.

A 121 seems like it would be good for cutting drywall. Anything thicker would just not do, the thinner the better.
