Go watch Lone Survivor!

I agree!!! The best war movie I have ever seen hands down. God bless the men and women brave enough to defend our freedom.

It is a great movie. I would highly recommend reading the book first.

God Bless the Men and Women that protect us.

Saw it Saturday night. Great movie, sadly doesn not follow the book exactly but hey, what movie does?

Lora and I went to see Lone Survivor last weekend. I have to say it was one of the best movies I've ever seen. I haven't cried that hard watching a movie since seeing The Green Mile for the first time. It really makes you appreciate your military that much more. Thank you so much for everything you guys do for us. I will never take it for granted.

The crazy thing is, as much stuff in the movie that they changed or left out, if you read the book you will see that what they all went through was ten times worse. Marcus described some things he did in those mountains to stay alive and keep moving that were absolutely cringe-worthy! And the courage that the village people had to protect Marcus from the enemy was incredible. I thought it was cool that they got to reunite a few years down the road though!

I really enjoyed the movie, it's been a while since I've seen a movie that moved me to tears the way that Lone Survivor did. A big thank you to each and every service member out there who put their lives at risk for the safety of all of us and countless more. Thank you so much!

Heard nothing but good things so far. I will probably wait for the dvd. I am not a fan of movie theaters. I did pay for my 19 year old sister and her friends to go see it. Her generation needs to understand what it takes to have the freedoms that we enjoy everyday.

The book is well worth the read.

God Bless our Troops.

Garth

I enjoyed the movie. The right amount of action without being over the top.

I thought it was very realistic, I am interested in reading the book now. I always see the movie before I read the book for some reason.

Did you guys see the Jake Tapper interview?

Tapper the arrogant jerk (CNN) suggests that they all died for nothing. Lutrell takes great offense. I think Tapper is lucky to have survived the encounter. It's around the 3:00 mark in the link attached. I'd take one Lutrell over one hundred Tapper's.

One thing that I found a bit surprising and refreshing is Mark Walberg is a big supporter of the military and really puts his money where his mouth is regarding the same. Good for him!

Everyone should see the movie. It is a great story.

As for Lutrell, he has formed a foundation to help wounded service members and their families. It's called the Lone Survivor Foundation. Here is a link for those who may be interested: http://lonesurvivorfoundation.org/
