I may get grief for this but, I've told enough folks about this, so I had to post it. As most know, Tess, Danny & I live on a small homestead-style farm raising our own food (meat is my job). Well, we had this goat that I had a running year and a half war with. My workshop is in 100 year old bank barn, the animals are downstairs and I'm upstairs. Well this goat spent it's first winter in a pen directly under my grinders where he kept "thunking" the beams. Thank goodness the grinds still came out straight. We use to go at it regularly. That was before the "stress relief" system. Then, in the spring, after many escapes, this same goat broke my thumb (actually it was my fault, never punch a goat in the head, not my brightest move). Needless to say, I won the war and I swore that I would make a knife from one of his horns. Well, here it is and yes this is one I made for myself that I am not selling. OK George, you've got the other one, let's see it.

Tess is finishing the sheath as we speak and I will proudly be wearing this knife at the Cheasapeake show this weekend.

THAT'S HILARIOUS!!! That must have been maddening to say the least!

Excellent knife, it's really beautiful.

I've got to say though that the sheath I see in the pic is really incredible! I wish I had a sheath maker let alone one with such talent as your wife. Does she do sheaths for other people's knives?

Nicely done all round.

Sean

Thanks Sean. This one was a true pleasure to make.

Tess does make sheaths for several other makers as well as my knives and at extremely reasonable prices in my opinion, too. If you'd like some info. just drop us an e-mail.

You have to put up with goats too long! Thats why. Maybe if the little bastards were born with horns like that ;)

Keith,

Cause you gotta punch a goat in the head? :D

Seriously, great looking knife. I hope it was worth the aggravation. ;)

That's a wonderful goat horn knife but did the goat survive?? Or, is it trotting around the house horn-less? :D :D

Awesome lines on a beautiful knife. It is stunning.
(had to jump in here on this one!) :D

My friend, this is a nice looking piece....as all your knives....but man do you need to come down the mountain once in a while...:D

My best to Tess & the real boss!!!
