This was the first knife I heat treated with my new forge.I still have a long way to go, mainly the plunge cut. Just added a glass platten to my 4x36 belt sander in hope that it will help.
Thanks for looking.
Mike

Nice lines. This looks like a comfortable knife to use. I like the curley maple. Good job!

Very nice work! Clean lines and tight workmanship. I like the curly maple too, very classy. Doing your own HT is the way to go, and on this one you'll be able to get some performance feedback. Good deal!

Thanks for the kind words. I'll be delivering it today. I am looking foward to the feedback from the customer. It took a good edge.

SWEET, I hope the platen is working I have probs in the plunge cuts too and want to try something else, like pyroceram. I bet the customer was happy!

seems a shame to waste that nice knife on dirty nasty goats.
Sorry!!! I had a flashback of the middle east. :o ;)

Nice knife. You'll get the hang of your plunges. It's kind of like jumping off a perfectly good airplane. Scary as hell, but once you have done it a thousand times, you aren't so scared anymore.

Looks good, don't sweat the plunges too much, I still have to do a bit of clean-up with files to make sure everything is even, even when I used a plunge cut guid I made I still had to go back with files so I just do it free hand now.
