God I´m bored watching knifenuts slice paper

I watch alot of knife testing and reviews on YouTube and most of them are interesting in some sort of way. But now I think (no, I´m sure) that my share of viewing paper getting sliced has exceeded my limit. Enough is enough! Watching cardboard getting sliced is just a tad less boring. Stop it!

It would be much more fun to watch you slice chicken, meat, vegetables, fruit or whatever.

Sorry, but I have to get it out of my system :D

Have you ever whittled hairs? Have you seen the hair whittling test? OMG!
I heard that hair whittling is the true test of a knife.
It may be that hair whittling edges will save the world.
I've seen a few whittle human, dog, cat, horse and even elephant hair.
Hair whittling sharp! ;)

No, this is not a serious post. But I know exactly how you feel. Cut up some cars or knock down a tree like ole Ankerson and THAT is some entertainment.

This one time I saw somebody whittle water...

j/k

In all seriousness though, you are right. Knifenuts have probably cut through a couple of trees worth of paper just to prove that their knives are sharp.

Mine are so sharp when I get done I doubt Murry Carter would do the 3 finger test on them.

The edges will cut your fingertips barely touching them with almost zero pressure. ;)

I've had serrations close to that. I just pressed the tip into my finger with the slightest pressure and before I knew it I was yelling OW! and feeling stupid :D

I am like go ahead and check the edge, but don't complain when you get cut really bad.

Mine are well beyond hair whittling when I am done.

I kind of agree with you though I'm guilty of it myself.
I try to do some print scraping to change things up
here and there. I do do water bottles which is fun
and entertaining. Only problem with that is not all
knives are big enough for that task. Some examples:

I'll use my "chi" - mall ninja internal powers to harden my fingertips and run my fingers up & down those mirror finished blades

It's the ones that still have a bit of teeth and not quite mirrored that'll get ya good! :D

Me, I'm into real-world edge testing.

This is my hand, my fingers, my thumb, and my Case Mini Trapper. Believe me, that is one sharp knife.

I'm just glad I was able to establish the edge sharpness on just the thumb although I have been know to test a knife's edge sharpness on multiple fingers at a time.

What gets me is that with each slice of the paper to proove how sharp the edge is the edge is getting duller with each slice.

That I would love to see on one of my edges. :D

I only really look at video reviews to check out a knife. I could care less how well it cuts paper (Or whatever medium), so I guess I'm not bothered by all the paper cutting because I don't watch it. I'll just FF or skip that part.

In my little review clips, I cut food twice (review of the Boker Plus Rhino and review of the Arconsat, the latter done tongue in cheek) because I thought it appropriate there.
In general however I don't cut anything. It's also something usually don't particularly want to see.

I think cutting food is a lot more interesting and it has a lot more real world value I also like to see waterbottle cutting even though it serves no purpose.

Maybe in kitchen knife reviews that might be interesting.

Get a $9 paring knife from Wally World and do a food cutting review. LOL
