As I sit in the witching hour on my front porch watching the scorched earth of 40+ days of 95+ degree heat this summer receive a much needed jubilee from the heavens I can't help but reflect on the challenges I have faced these passed months and what all of you have done to help me face those challenges and what the Lord's guiding hand has done to steer my path. Life is a continuous struggle with ebbs and flows, never a dull moment and always an obstacle to overcome or shy away from. There is so much more I would like to say, but it is difficult for me to concisely express the gratitude I have for Fiddleback Forge with Andy at the helm to create a forum where we can openly celebrate our victories and lift each other in defeat and hardship. These relationships are real, whether in person, in voice, or text.

For some, it may be all about the knives, but for most we have a kindred spirit that if I do not meet you in this life I look forward to celebrating with you for all eternity in the next. God bless all of you and I love you all as a brother and sister.

Justen

God Bless you my brother.

Not a fiddleback owner but saw the thread and had to drop in and say God bless to some Christian brothers.

"May you be poor in misfortune, rich in blessings, slow to make enemies and quick to make friends. And may you know nothing but happiness from this day forward."

God Bless Brother.

Whew, Justen. It's good to see the rain. We're going through the same scorching, dry heat spell here. Little attempts here and there to sprinkle a little water a few miles away, but nothing in my tiny little town yet. I think we're going on 26 days of the same 95+ degree heat as well. Seems crazy with the Atlantic less than a mile away, but sometimes the ocean breeze is a curse, keeping the storm clouds at bay. They also help fuel the nasty wild fires that often pop up during dry spells such as these.

Nevertheless, I'll continue to pray that just as in your case, God will bring on the rain.

Thanks for posting this. Especially as a reminder of the good in our little online community. Everyday, I become more and more frustrated over the degradation in our culture and it constantly eats at me.

Take care and continue to spread the good word.
Sergio

Sometimes you need to be reminded of how fortunate we are. Love the thread Justen, thanks for sharing.
Sergio, I hope y'all get some good rain soon as well - just without the high winds.

Nice post Justen, and well said. I am very glad things have gone well for you guys this year. I know how stressful it has been for you.

This past week my little neighborhood won the rain lottery. Each day there was a 30% chance, and almost every day we got a good 20 - 30 minute downpour. Every time the rain started I was suprised! Woot!

Usually, GA in this time of year is bleak and dry. Not as bad as my family's place in MS, its nasty dry by the hot months. But we have had it good so far.

Justen. Moved me to tears. Seriously. You know why. My gratitude to you, my friend, for helping walk me through it.

Amen.
