God vs. the scientist

A scientist had the opportunity to talk to God and told Him, "We don't need you anymore." God asked him, "Why do you say that you don't need Me anymore?". The scientist replied, "We've learned how to create life on our own and no longer need you to create life." God asked him, "How do you create life then?" The scientist replied, "We use chemistry to create life". God said, "Show me." So the scientist bent down and scooped up a handful of dirt and begin forming it into a ball, while stating, "I will take this dirt back to my laboratory and turn it into life." God said, "No, no, no, make your own dirt first!"

Of course, if the scientist, had a well stocked lab, making earth, would not be that much of a challenge.
I would be more impressed if the scientist were, visionary enough, to save us from ourselves; or if by saving us from ourselves, God were to prove, his existence.
